 Documentation Overview
Please see Reference Doc Page for more details about AdChiosk Tag Format.
- AdChiosk Player
The current player is supported both on window and linux and runs on Gtk which is included
in the basic kit. The next release of AdChiosk player is in spring 2008 and will runs on dot net. The current
kit that runs on gtk will still be supported.
- AdChiosk Designer
The designer is free, and is sufficient to enable you to setup your content pages, browser listing or player listing.
If you are not using flash for your animation, AdChiosk has it's own builtin animation and can be setup using the designer.
Although it may not cater to the complexity of having all your artwork done in AdChiosk, you may do so externally and
use the designer simply to add your artwork ( as picture ) to it.
- AdChiosk Scheduler
Having done your design, contents and using the designer to create the xml input, the next step is to
use AdChiosk scheduler to plan and test your signage. Or if you are not planning to buy, you can still use
a text editor to schedule it, check out the reference doc page or examples on the details.
AdChiosk scheduler needs Microsoft dot net 2.0 to run. For more info see
Scheduler Doc.
- AdChiosk Flash
In version 3.0 of AdChiosk, we added the features to play transparent flash onto all AdChiosk windows.
Eassentially it means you can play your content/artwork pages, movies, web pages as background and then play
flash animation on top of it. In a way by separating your artwork and flash component you are able to
have one main advertisement display and other side advertisement/information/attention grabber coming in
and going off from the side, top or bottom, just like what you see on TV commercial.
By all means, you can create you own flash animation in Flash IDE and use the ride
class to play your animation transparently onto AdChiosk window.
